| Content: | Originally posted by: NewClassic I never did understand the broad appeal of Pokemon beyond the first series, considering the basic groundwork and theory for the games hasn't expanded at all, innovation wise, since the release of the first game in '96. However, despite that, there have been several successful game and anime series from it. As further proof of this, an anime movie based off of Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl has just released a trailer on a Japanese Pokemon movie site. The trailer isn't much more than a teaser, displaying no more than three seconds worth of what appears to be in-movie footage. The trailer lists the title of the movie, roughly translated to "Pokemon: The Phantom Champion Z," and a Japanese release date, July 10, 2010. The trailer is unique in that it shows something the show has never shown before, and animal that isn't a Pokemon. (In this instance, a non-specific gray fish.) Secondly, it shows a doppelganger of Ash that has no lines, but has a surprisingly deep voice when he scoffs. If my theory holds true, it's a personification of Ash's puberty, which will be terrorizing him throughout the movie. One can only hope. |
